Pause Paid Memberships

Customers can pause a paid membership instead of canceling—immediately or at the end of the current billing period.

What's New

Paid memberships now support a paused state. While paused, billing stops and membership perks are suspended; when the pause ends, everything resumes with no re-enrollment.

Options

• Pause now - takes effect immediately
• Pause at end of billing period - customer keeps their perks until the period they've paid for is over (added July 14)
• Configurable maximum pause length
• Pause and resume from the wallet, the merchant portal, or the external API

Also Shipped

• Membership expiry date on the Card block - customers see when their membership renews or ends without digging
• Paid membership export includes paused status

Why It Matters

A large share of cancellations are "not right now", not "never again". Pause gives those customers a way to say so—and come back.
