Flexible Points-to-Currency Conversion Rates

Flexible Points-to-Currency Conversion Rates

Define custom conversion rates for different customer segments, giving you precise control over how much your loyalty points are worth.

What Changed

You can now set how many loyalty points equal $1 in store credit, and create different conversion rates for different customer segments.

Example:

  • Default customers: 100 points = $1
  • VIP customers: 80 points = $1 (making their points 25% more valuable)
  • Tier 3 customers: 75 points = $1 (even better value)

How to Use It

  1. Go to loyalty settings in Toki admin
  2. Set your default conversion rate (e.g., 100 points = $1)
  3. Create segment-specific rates for VIP or tiered customers
  4. Choose display preference: show points, currency value, or both

The conversion rate applies throughout your entire program—earning rewards, redeeming points, analytics, and balance displays all reflect the correct value.

Why It Matters

  • VIP experiences: Reward your best customers with more valuable points
  • Targeted promotions: Run campaigns with different point values for different audiences
  • Better communication: Display rewards in the format that resonates with your customers
  • Accurate reporting: Analytics automatically show correct monetary value

Previously locked at 100 points = $1 for everyone, you now have full flexibility to create tiered loyalty economics that match your business strategy.
