The Challenge

We originally started talking to SACHEU Beauty about marketing activations that would incentivize UGC as this was a large pain point for them. Beauty is a competitor space and without UGC, it would be hard for them to compete both on social media and for conversions. From these conversations, we decided it would be really special to create a rewards activity rewarding customers for sharing Before and After photos of themselves using the lipliner. By promoting this activity on the post purchase page, they would be able to catch their customers at the right place, right time to ensure the UGC would be collected. And by offering store credit, they would hit the right incentive for return.

Further, upon diving deeper into the brand, we realized there was another opportunity to explore Paid Memberships. As their extensive social following started to convert from one time purchasers to serious repeat purchase fans, the SACHEU team would have a unique opportunity to lock these customers in more permanently. With Toki, the SACHEU Beauty team was able to implement a lifetime or annual membership offering which would give members a 20% discount, free shipping and early access to new launches and sales.

The Solution

Ultimately, this hybrid approach to loyalty ensures SACHEU Beauty touches every type of customer on their journey. By offering loyalty rewards before purchase, they activate website users that have yet to convert. By offering loyalty rewards post purchase, they activate their first time customers. By offering a paid membership, they activate their superfans. Each customer segment is treated uniquely ensuring max retention potential.

The Results

From these activations, SACHEU was able to generate more UGC for their ads + conversion strategy (20% lift), more revenue from Paid Memberships (10% of their total top line) and more repeat purchasers through giving incentives to their most loyal fans (2X).
