Timers for Workflows

Trigger workflows on a schedule—once at a specific time or repeatedly at an interval—with the new Timers feature.

What's New

Timers are a new section in the merchant portal. Create a timer, pick when it fires, and use the new Timer Triggered event as a workflow trigger.

Timer Types

  • One-time - runs once at the date and time you set
  • Recurring - runs repeatedly at a fixed interval

Each timer keeps a history of its executions so you can see when it fired and what happened.

Change Activity Status Action

Also new: a Change Activity Status workflow action that turns activities on or off. Pair it with a timer to schedule activities without lifting a finger.

Use Cases

  • Turn on a double-points activity every Friday at 6pm and off on Sunday night
  • Send a monthly points balance reminder to all members
  • Kick off an end-of-quarter cleanup workflow
  • Schedule a one-off flash promotion weeks in advance

Why It Matters

Until now, workflows only reacted to customer behavior. Timers let you drive the program on your calendar, not just the customer's.
